Test Tracks

Long Straight (dynamics)

When you accelerate over the on-ramp – a curve with banking (clothoid) – you take off at up to 120 km/h onto the Long Straight.

This stretch is suitable for fast lane changes at high speeds as well as for tests around automated driving, for safety systems such as ESP, and of course for tests on braking.

The Long Straight opens up in a funnel shape into an adjacent 300 m skid pad, which offers ideal conditions for tire assessments, among other things.

Details:

  • 2 km long with integrated lanes
  • 4 lanes opening tangentially to the skid pad
  • 2 high-speed braking areas integrated as concrete lanes
  • Reversing road includes a variety of surface profiles similar to a rural road such as long undulations, short undulations, concrete slabs with expansion joints and smooth asphalt
  • Skid pad of 300 m diameter
  • Slope on the skid pad 0.5%.
