Gilles Le Borgne is a French engineer who has had a significant impact on the European automotive industry. As head of engineering and then quality at PSA, he oversaw strategic programs that contributed to the group’s recovery. In 2020, he joined Renault as Director of Engineering and became a member of the executive committee. He then served as Director of Technology and later as advisor to the CEO. No fewer than five vehicles developed under his supervision have won the prestigious Car of the Year award. Recognised by the profession, he was named “Automotive Man of the Year 2019.” In 2025, he was awarded a Trophy of Honor, recognising nearly forty years of service to automotive innovation. Gilles Le Borgne is now an independent director and a member of Valeo’s board of directors.
Thierry Best is an expert in commercial strategy and industrial development. A graduate of ENA, he began his career as a commercial advisor in Madrid, Buenos Aires, and London before joining Alstom Transport in 1998 as sales manager for Israel, Egypt, and South Africa. He has held the positions of Senior VP China, VP Metro Product Line, Project Director, SVP Rolling Stock & Components, and SVP Middle East & Africa Corporate. In 2010, he took over as Commercial Director of Alstom Transport, then became COO in 2011, sitting on the executive committee. In 2021, he returned to the role of CCO and led the post-merger commercial strategy for Bombardier. He joined Sub Rosa as Senior Advisor in 2025, providing consulting services on energy transition and train production.
Claude Jaouen is a French engineer specialising in the nuclear industry. A graduate of École Centrale de Paris with a doctorate in engineering, he has held technical and regional management positions at SGN. He then held several executive positions within the Areva group: CIO, Deputy CEO of Areva NP in the fuel sector, Chairman of SGN and Director of the Reactors & Services Business Group, as a member of the Executive Committee. Since 2014, he has been an independent consultant, advising European, North American and Japanese players on strategy, major projects and industrial organisation. In 2024, he was appointed non-executive director of Sellafield Ltd.
Alain Tropis is a French engineer and a leading figure in the aerospace industry, particularly at ATR and Airbus, where he worked for over forty years in international positions (France, England, Germany, Spain, Canada, etc.). A graduate with a passion for industrial innovation, he joined Airbus in the early 1980s and quickly rose to key positions in engineering, production, and major program management. He has overseen strategic projects with industrial competitiveness challenges. He received the Charles Sharpe Beecher Prize (Institute of Mechanical Engineers – London) in 1993 for his contributions to aerospace engineering and the Aeronautics Medal in 2014. He was awarded the Order of Merit in 2019. Today, his company A.T. Consulting advises on industrial strategy and aeronautical innovation. He represents the transition to more efficient and responsible aviation.
Didier Bonnin has had a long career as an engineer with the Airbus Group, mainly in subsidiaries specialising in aerostructure and industrial operations. He has held operational management positions. As Director of Industrial Operations at STELIA Aerospace, he oversaw production and assembly processes, contributing to major Airbus programs such as the A350 and A320neo. Previously, at Airbus, he held positions in engineering and industrial management, demonstrating expertise in production line optimisation and operational excellence. He retired from Airbus in January 2022 after more than 30 years in the aerospace industry, working to promote European industrial competitiveness.
