Press Release 16.04.2026
SEGULA Technologies becomes industrial partner of Airbus for Eutelsat constellation extension

Global engineering group SEGULA Technologies and Airbus have signed a strategic contract for the full integration - Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) - of OneWeb satellites, which will expand Eutelsat's constellation.

These OneWeb satellites ensure the continuity of European low-earth orbit (LEO) capabilities and represent a key step before the operational launch of the IRIS² programme.

This partnership positions SEGULA Technologies as a leading service provider capable of managing mass production of satellites.

Airbus has chosen to partner with SEGULA Technologies to ensure mass production of satellites for Eutelsat’s OneWeb constellation. These low-earth orbit satellite constellations have become strategic infrastructures for digital sovereignty and secure telecommunications.

Under the contract signed in late 2025, SEGULA Technologies has been entrusted with all Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) operations, as well as the industrial ramp-up on the integration line located in Toulouse, at the heart of the European space hub.

These satellites will reinforce Eutelsat’s OneWeb constellation, which currently stands as the only globally operational LEO constellation of European origin. This project also serves as a vital building block for future European telecommunications infrastructure, aligning with structural programmes like IRIS², Europe’s first multi-orbital network expected by 2030.

To meet this large-scale industrial challenge, SEGULA Technologies is mobilising approximately 50 specialised engineers, operators, and managers. The engineering group is deploying a robust, flexible, and high-cadence industrial organisation to meet the ambitious requirements of the programme.

Thanks to its recognised expertise in the mass production of complex systems, SEGULA Technologies is now a leading service provider capable of delivering satellite production at scale.

"This partnership marks a structural milestone for SEGULA Technologies, as we become a key player in constellation production in Europe. Our expertise in high-cadence industrialisation will be essential to achieving the ambitious production rates set by Airbus."

Arnaud Longuefosse, EVP Aerospace Global Business at SEGULA Technologies
