A legacy of audacity
|
Some companies follow industry transformations. Others help to drive them forward. It takes more than just the ability to innovate. It requires technical expertise, the ability to tackle complex challenges, and a determination to see projects through to completion. At SEGULA Technologies, this mindset is rooted in a strong industrial heritage: that of Matra. |

The legacy of a pioneering spirit
Matra occupies a unique place in French industrial history. Few companies have made their mark on sectors as diverse as aeronautics, defence, space, motor racing and the consumer car market. Under the leadership of Jean-Luc Lagardère, Matra became a major player in the defence and aerospace sectors, with significant innovations in missile systems and involvement in major European space programmes, including Ariane. The brand also entered the annals of history with three consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1972 and 1974. It also left a lasting mark on the automotive industry with models that have become iconic, such as the Bagheera and the first generations of the Renault Espace. Matra’s industrial history has continued through the major transformations of the sector and is reflected today in major players in European industry, such as MBDA and Airbus. But beyond its industrial successes, Matra embodies above all the men and women who pushed the boundaries of their time.
This legacy has been part of SEGULA Technologies’ history since the acquisition of Matra Automobile Engineering in 2009.
A legacy dedicated to tackling industrial challenges
The ability to push boundaries, a culture of taking on challenges, and a determination to turn ideas into tangible achievements: this pioneering spirit drives the teams at SEGULA Technologies today. In the face of major industrial transformations, this mindset is proving more relevant than ever. New forms of mobility, the energy transition, artificial intelligence, technological sovereignty: today’s challenges demand solid expertise, practical engineering, and the courage to take risks. New forms of mobility, the energy transition, digitalisation, artificial intelligence: in a rapidly changing world, businesses need practical engineering capable of designing, testing, scaling up and delivering. Because innovation is not limited to ideas. It comes to life on the ground, close to the industrial sites, workshops and teams that turn projects into tangible achievements. Artificial intelligence, like any technological breakthrough, opens up new opportunities provided it is properly harnessed. It thus brings the value of industrial expertise back to the forefront.
This is precisely where SEGULA stands out.
A culture of knowledge-sharing with an eye to the future
At SEGULA Technologies, this heritage lives on and is passed down. It is passed on from those with hands-on experience and long-standing expertise to the new generations, who bring their energy, fresh perspectives and skills.
This dynamic of knowledge transfer enables teams to progress, expertise to be strengthened and the long-term development of the Group and the industry to be supported.
SEGULA does not merely claim an industrial heritage. The Group is driven by the ambition to build the solutions of the future.
