EMC is primarily about eliminating interference factors. In the automotive environment, we master the measurement and tuning of the complete range of all electromagnetic influences – independent of the engine.

The increasing use of electronics leads to extended requirements for the interference immunity of components. New technologies in the area of connectivity between vehicles (Car2Car) and their environment (Car2X) create new challenges for electromagnetic compatibility. Electromobility and the associated electrical charging requirements for battery systems result in a link between the automotive sector and the classic EMC requirements according to the EMC Directive.

We offer OEM-specific solutions! We develop and test entire vehicles, components, parts, systems, equipment and all types of electronic devices (e.g. IT, consumer, rail industrial, medical) with regard to their electromagnetic immunity in accordance with legal requirements, valid manufacturer standards and customer-specific requirement.

Test facilities:

• Semi Anechoic Chamber (SAC) with 10 m measuring distance including large turntable suitable for vehicles with roller test bench
• Semi Anechoic Chamber (SAC) for on-board measurements on vehicles
• Semi Anechoic Chamber (SAC) for automotive component measurements
• Conversion option of SAC chambers into Fully Anechoic Chambers (FAC)
• Transient measurement station (for 1-phase and 3-phase networks) for tests for surge, burst, flicker, harmonic, network anomalies, and ESD
• Special measurements, e.g., the audio quality of radio transmissions and tests against magnetic fields
