Stamping is a manufacturing process, consisting of forming steel or aluminium sheet by cold plastic deformation. A multitude of activities revolve around the production of components by stamping, beginning with feasibility studies, to create them in the best possible conditions. This is followed by the definition of manufacturing processes based on their characteristics, followed by various calculations and digital simulations, for the optimum result.

Toolmakers are involved upstream to create the production equipment, combining their casting and machining skills. The incorporation of press tools into the plant, as well as project monitoring and increasing the rate of production to produce large volumes, are the final links in the chain.

All these trades work in line with the constraints of the industrial sector, such as the cost of raw materials, weight reduction, improving the production rate, etc.
