Daniel C. – Interior project manager

Daniel C. - Interior project manager

My philosophy:

Cooperation, perseverance and passion for your job are the cornerstones for achieving success.

My role at SEGULA Technologies:

I am an interior project manager for the railway industry in Spain. My role is to ensure that the objectives of the projects we carry out for our clients are achieved, to find solutions to any difficulties we may encounter, to keep a good level of motivation within my teams and to provide the best quality of service to our clients.

Professional experience:

I have performed different tasks at SEGULA since I joined in 2008. I started as a draftsmanthen continued to design 3D models and advanced surfaces and in 2013 I was given my first group of people to manage. Currently, I am in charge of a team of twenty-people, over 20.000 projects hours, and a full engineering department for our clients

I have been involved in several interior projects including: the Sleeper Train for Scotland, regional trains for Europe such as Germany, England, Wales, Italy, Spain… Subways for many countries like South America, Mexico DF, Quito, Sao Paulo, in Europe like Spain or France. Concerning outdoor projects, I have worked on locomotives for the UEE, Switzerland, South Africa, India or China.

Thanks to my numerous experiences and the different positions I have held, I now have a very global vision of all the projects I am working on, which allows me to better understand the theoretical, practical and even emotional aspects of each of them.

Training:

After specialised studies in the field of industrial production, I followed various training courses on advanced 3D modelling programs such as Catia V5, Unigraphics and 3D Studio Max. Thanks to the experience I gained at SEGULA, I have broadened my field of expertise by specialising in different aspects of my work, including project manager training.

The clients I have worked for have also allowed me to closely follow the assembly process which provides comprehensive training on railways.

My best project:

For the past two years I have been involved in the interior design of diesel and electric regional trains manufactured by a Spanish manufacturer. Since 2018, twenty units have been built and a further 254 have been ordered. The UK has been the largest customer with over 136 units.

It has been a deeply rewarding experience, as we have been involved in the project from the conception of the idea through to delivery to the customer which includes the complexity of the assembly and the manufacturing stages.

My greatest passion:

Family, friends, Rock ‘n’ Roll and sports of all kinds in that order.

My biggest dream:

My biggest dream is to enjoy the present, especially in these uncertain times. No one knows what will happen in the future, so I try to give and to get the best out of myself every day.

The best thing at SEGULA:

After 13 years of experience, I must say that I value the relationship aspect.

From 2008 to 2021, we have experienced many difficult moments with my colleagues and we have always supported each other, working hard to improve at all levels. I don’t forget those who no longer work with us but who have also contributed.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. Our working philosophy is to offer quality service, versatility and speed.

We have a unique opportunity in the market, the railway industry is booming as the train is an environmentally friendly means of transport. I really believe that this is a perfect time to bet on us and give us the support we need to meet our customers’ expectations.
