SEGULA Technologies and Armtek join forces to revolutionize military drone maintenance

• French engineering group SEGULA Technologies and software publisher Armtek are jointly launching a
digital solution dedicated to the maintenance of military drones.
• This innovative solution aims to guarantee a high level of drone availability for operators, while
optimizing costs and the traceability of operations.
• The tool stands out for its ability to feed information from the field back to the design office and for its ease of customization.

With the rapid growth in the use of drones in military operations, the issue of their maintenance is becoming a strategic challenge for defense. To meet these specific needs, the engineering group SEGULA Technologies and Armtek have jointly designed a digital maintenance solution dedicated to armed forces drones.

This innovative solution aims to guarantee the operational availability of drones while optimizing costs and maintenance management. Distinguished by its ease of customization, it enables real-time monitoring of fleet status, access to technical documentation, recording of interventions, and operator training.

Armtek, a software publisher specializing in operational data management for the military and defense industry, designed the core software for the solution. Already proven on land-based military equipment, the Armtek solution has been adapted to the aerospace sector thanks to SEGULA’s expertise.

SEGULA Technologies contributed its in-depth knowledge of regulatory and operational requirements for aircraft maintenance. Working closely with end users, its teams customized Armtek’s solution to meet the specific constraints of the drone sector, while ensuring that operators gained the necessary skills through training workshops.

“This partnership combines the best of both worlds: the power of a proven digital tool and the field experience of an aviation maintenance specialist,” summarizes Marc Normand, Technical Director at SEGULA Technologies.

According to David Desjardins, CEO of Armtek, “SEGULA Technologies’ aerospace expertise represents a valuable opportunity for Armtek to deepen its understanding of the challenges facing this industry while developing its value proposition around the exploitation of operational data.”

Ultimately, this solution could be extended to other areas, both civil and military. Armtek and SEGULA Technologies share the common goal of supporting the digital transformation of maintenance by making operations more efficient, traceable, and collaborative.

SEGULA Technologies and Armtek will be present at the Paris Air Show to showcase this innovation (SEGULA Technologies stand: Hall 2B – E125).
