SEGULA Technologies opens a new office in Melbourne, Australia

SEGULA Technologies has just opened a new office in Melbourne to develop its automotive, rail, medical and defence activities. This new office will host the local and regional headquarters of SEGULA Technologies for Australia and Asia Pacific.

Already established in Australia since 2017, SEGULA is settling in Melbourne because of the area’s strong potential for the Group’s business: with renowned technological universities and a longstanding tradition for industry, Melbourne and the Victoria state provide excellent infrastructure and represent a major pool for qualified engineers and designers.

Ambitious local development objectives

The Victorian Government invested to support the establishment of SEGULA’s regional head office in Victoria as the Group has key targets around the employment of a Victorian workforce. With the objective of reaching 100 employees within less than three years, the Group will mostly recruit 3D designers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and programme managers.

SEGULA Technologies has proven expertise in teaming with local institutions and transferring knowledge and intellectual property in order to ensure full sovereignty and independent resilience.

Today marks a significant event for SEGULA with the Victorian Government providing investment funding for the organisation” Pierre Maciejowski Managing Director Asia Pacific stated, “With this grant, the Victorian Government demonstrates its faith in our ability to grow and secure valuable work for Victoria workers.

Among other projects, at the local level, SEGULA will work together with Alstom/Bombardier on the Vlocity regional train project and on the Melbourne light rail system. At the country level, its designers and engineers will contribute to the construction of Australian submarines, for which the conception phase should start in a few months. Over the past years, SEGULA Australia has also brought its expertise to large-scale projects in rail, automotive defence and the medical domains, such as the development of the Citadis tramway in Sydney and the QNGR transport train for the Brisbane region.

In addition to Melbourne, SEGULA Australia has also offices in Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane.
