Different powertrain concepts are available depending on the segment and vehicle class. For example, a pure electric drive is suitable for small cars, while the fuel cell is particularly suitable for trucks.
With our expertise, we optimally integrate powertrain of all types into the respective vehicle and electrical/electronic architecture. This applies to internal combustion engine and electrified drives (all electric, hybrid) as well as to fuel cells or powertrains with alternative and synthetic fuels (e-fuels). With the complete vehicle in mind, we cover component and system part development, software development and calibration for the various powertrains.
In fuel cell technology, as in the other powertrains, we support the entire development process. This ranges from quantification of customer requirements through system simulation, system specification and procurement of materials, to software and function development, testing on our own test rigs, calibration, integration and validation, right through to type testing.
In addition to our comprehensive expertise in the development of engine and powertrain solutions, we specialize in emissions testing on our in-house exhaust roller dynamometers. In this context, SEGULA Technologies also offers the possibility to determine and certify individual vehicle resistances (F0, F1, F2) according to regulatory requirements by rolling out on our test field or by the wind tunnel method.
Our engineers have found innovative approaches to design individual applications as well as entire platforms to meet European and global emission requirements – from concept through development and validation as well as homologation to series production support. With our own engine, transmission and vehicle test infrastructure, we also provide assurance of compliance with emission limits under various test conditions.
